A Quiet Corner Of The Day

  • ART X Lagos 2018
  • Armand Buoa Florence Poirier-Nkpa Ranti Bam Victor Butler

  • November 2 - 4, 2018

  • The Civic Center

  • The powerful works of Victor Butler, Armand Boua, Florence Poirier-Nkpa and Ranti Bam remind us of the importance of community and the role that each of us have to play. Each of these artists brings a unique perspective and voice reflecting the fantastic breadth and multiplicity of the creative soul of Africa.

Butler’s surreal oil on canvas paintings are perfectly juxtaposed against the dynamic sculptural ceramics of Bam, Boua’s scratched and resurfaced works on cardboard depicting street children resonate with Poirier-Nkpa’s colorful self-portrait collages expressing the mood, energy, and dynamic mosaic of life on our continent.
