  • The Collectors' Series was birthed when about 35 collectors, curators, and senior artists met. They spoke about their experiences collecting art, exhibiting their collections locally and internationally, and the needs within Nigeria's artistic space. An overwhelming conclusion was the need to foster art appreciation locally, and to strategically invest in strengthening individual artists. They agreed to move their collections from private decoration to active assets, and make a greater investment in showcasing more art in public spaces. The Collectors' Series is an attempt to fill this gap, by having distinguished Nigerian collectors host each series, and share their unique perspective on each exhibition.
